About Me
Mandy Marty MBCAP counsellor
Meet Mandy
My career has always centred around stories, first as an actor, then leading a youth theatre company, and later as a teacher. These experiences deepened my understanding of communication, listening and empathy, qualities that now shape my work as a counsellor.
Sharing our stories is fundamental to being human. Whoever you are and wherever you come from, I offer a warm, welcoming space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind. I believe counselling isn’t one-size-fits-all; it’s about finding the right fit and building a trusting relationship.
I currently work with adults through a mental health charity and in private practice, offering both online counselling sessions and walk-and-talk therapy in the Cambridge area. I also have previous experience supporting young people aged 12–25. My approach is creative, adaptable and may even bring moments of humour. I provide a non-judgemental environment where you can feel safe and heard.
We’ll work together to build coping strategies and deepen your understanding of the issues you’re facing such as:
anxiety or stress
low mood or depression
life changes and challenges
exploring a deeper sense of self
making sense of past experiences,
relationship difficulties.
